In 2002, the Government decided that there should be public intervention in the LPG market.
The Corporation was instructed by the Government to take over the country’s total requirements from the existing importers with effect from January 2003. Presently, STC does not own the technical infrastructure for storage and consequently it has to sell its products straight away in bulk to the local LPG companies.
